Members of La Pietra's Team Pink Panthers complete the Komen Hawaii Race for the Cure on Oct. 17, 2021
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and the La Pietra community has been taking on a number of initiatives to help spread awareness about this important cause. This past weekend, students, faculty, and their families joined the fight against breast cancer by participating in the Komen Hawaii Race for the Cure. Although there was no in-person gathering this year, our La Pietra ohana walked in their own neighborhoods to show their support.
To finish off Breast Cancer Awareness month on a strong note, the PFA and Student Council will be holding a Scarf & Beanie Collection that will run from October 18 - 29. They will be collecting new adult size scarfs and beanies to donate to Kapiolani Medical Center. See the flyer below for more details. All are welcomed to participate!
