Heather S. talks about learning how to fly a plane during her Independent Project.

Meet Heather, a senior at La Pietra, who has dreamt of becoming a pilot since she was 13 years old. She's well on her way to earning her private pilot license, preparing to take to the skies before she can even legally drive!

Thanks to La Pietra’s Independent Project, Heather had the perfect opportunity to pursue her love of flying. With remarkable self-discipline, she completed her first solo flight out of Honolulu, successfully taking off from Honolulu International Airport and executing three touch-and-go landings on her own. The sky’s the limit for our La Pietra students!
