Celebrating La Pietra's Class of 2022

Congratulations to La Pietra – Hawai‘i School for Girls' Class of 2022! The 27 graduates made their final walk across the Great Lawn, celebrating the culmination of their high school accomplishments during a beautiful ceremony with friends, family, and lots of lei and hugs.

The end of the 2021-22 school year also marked the end of two long careers at La Pietra. After spending 23 and 25 years at the school respectively, Music Director Shari Lynn and Dean of Students Gay Chinen will finally be retiring.

In order to celebrate the accomplishments of students, La Pietra held its inaugural Celebration of Learning this spring. The special event featured the arts through a series of activities and performances and also served to recognize the culmination of the Independent Project by juniors.

La Pietra's Art Department was proud to welcome back guest artist Mary Belanger! The well-known photographer is a pinhole camera expert who has volunteered her time teaching the history, techniques, and darkroom processes of pinhole cameras to La Pietra students for many years.
